Greasing Entire Drive Shaft U-Joints (5 Zerks Total)

    I did my fronts yesterday. They took 8-12 pumps each before new grease came out.

    Pioneer In-Dash Nav Radio with front and rear Camera
    I have a 2007 Tacoma double cab Pre-Runner and cannot find any grease zerts on shaft or u-joints. Been over it with a fine-tooth comb twice now, is it possible that certain years came with them and certain years did not? Hearing a squeak in reverse and a shutter when in drive at 2000 RPM's.

    I have been told just the 4x4 Tacoma’s came with grease zerks in the joints, is your tacoma 4x2 or 4x4?

    2016 Tacoma 4x4 one fitting per U joint, very easy access x3 and 1 90 degree fitting on the front drive shaft into transfer case. 3 pumps per joint all set to go

    Once done, are you supposed to clean the grease out of the gun before storing and start with a fresh cartridge next time?

    Is there any harm in keeping the excess grease in the gun for several months?

    Some greases will leak some, I keep mine in a plastic garbage bag to contain the leakage. I use Valvoline Synthetic, small amout of leakage.

    2003 DC TRD 4x4.
    Did all 9 zerks today, but the two that grease the slip shafts I was just pumping forever. Front one actually started moving every time I pumped it. I stopped there because I was worried I was over filling.
    Is this normal? Shouldn’t grease come out on the shaft when it is full?
    U joint all took 2-3 before grease came out.

    I’ve got a 2000 PreRunner 4x2 I found 5 zerks and I pumped more than 3 pumps on the yoke what’s going to happen? If there is too much grease in the yoke? HELP 026F8931-3A73-42CE-9A23-0C6A1AD60532.jpg
