Lost some motivation to do the ADD delete today. But decided to sand and clear my headlights. Turned out awesome!

Great weekend at the Rooftop Tent Rally in Gladstone VA. Saw some cool rigs. Got some bad (good/expensive) ideas. Hung out with some friends that I havent seen in a while.

this new Tundra has TC LCA, but i cant tell if its LT. Either way, he only has a single shock, so Im still cooler :anonymous::
    IMG_0619.jpg

All my friends have Alucabs now. Last one is a 2024 Tundra TRD Pro in Terra that i wish i took a better picture of. That guy just threw the $ at his truck
    IMG_0623.jpg

Also, anyone have a discount code for Hest products? I need the gfc setup, but don't have that $750

Im thinking this may help with the hood alignment. The front cab mount bushing is directly below the hinge. Also I think Ive never replaced mine. If the radiator support bushing was complete crap when I replaced it, think about how bad the front cab mount one is

Caught up with some friends from the GFC forum and they are working on a discount code for 15% off of a Hest mattress. Thats over $100 savings, so i feel obligated to get it.

Also scooped a Devos light from a guy I was parked next to, and these people have a bunch of accessories to give to me too. So I gotta see if the light actually works haha.

Just like that, im sucked back into the fun world of overland/camping accessories. (Just need someone to buy my FSR ReadyLight)

In the forever quest for more space in my 20x10 garage, im chopping up my old welder cart, in order to attach it to this crappy old toolbox that Ive added wheels to. All my materials are owned, so Im $0 into the project. Winning!

The welder will sit on top, and the gas bottle will hang off of the side on the L thing Im chopping.

Upgraded the GFC mattress again. This time using the Hest Dually Platform 50 that's meant for the GFC panels. 3" memory foam is so much more comfortable than my furniture foam replacement. Plus the cost to upgrade will make me camp more (supposedly)

Hopefully will make it out camping the weekend after thanksgiving.

Found out this laziness has lost me 4wd.

Went out to play in the snow, and got stuck on an icy hill. Locker didnt help, just spinning. Learned that an open diff doesnt actually provide any "power" or traction to the one wheel that is spinning. Thanks to @ShimStack for the explanation.

Also had to use my winch for the 2nd time in 8 years. Glad it was there

Fixed my 4wd by jumping the pins on the front diff actuator, which made the fork move over.

In the spring ill actually change to the FJ tube, and remove the actuator and wiring.

And while talking to my friend at his shop, he mentioned he may be selling his 97 Regular cab Tacoma. 175k miles, 4x4, and manual. Has manual hubs, and a flatbed too. Told him Im super interested!

Having a fun new thing that just started yesterday.

When I hit a dip or bump in the road, my battery light will come on, then all the lights come on - downhill assist, parking brake, speedo says 0, scangauge says the VLT is at 17.0, just to name a few.
I found this thread, might need to investigate. I had replaced the alternator within the last 5 years, battery is an X2Power that also is trickle charged from my solar/DCDC setup.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/daily-dash-light-flash.817815/page-3

I live in a very urban area, so my chances on a rodent getting there are pretty low, or so I think. But never zero? o_O Also truck lives outside, never in the garage.
