Ordered front and rear master rebuilds, along with front and rear 4.56 nitro gears. Wooo!

Also picked up a widow maker jack and a decent tow strap. About to send ltr ucas in for a rebuild. Still need to get a bumper. Also, lca bushings are meh. And cvs are torn. Again. Imma get diff drop before I change them out. Holly bananas.

    wow where to begin.

Light racing ucas are on they're way in from CO.

Master rebuilds and 4.56's are waiting to be picked up. ZUK will do the rear, the front by just diffs OR az diff. probably flip a coin.

while the front is out, the ucas will be installed, along with new lower bushings. and new steering rack bushings. and probably body bushings. cv's are torn, so also a diff drop.

got supplies to do a satoshi

and my personal favorite, ordered an elite plate front bumper!

    new stereo and speakers!

    head unit KENWOOD KDC-BT948HD http://www.crutchfield.com/S-5ZxjNKKfTrI/p_113BT948HD/Kenwood-KDC-BT948HD.html paid 120

    speakers, x4, Polk-Audio-db651s http://www.crutchfield.com/p_107DB651S/Polk-Audio-db651s.html#details-tab paid 50 a set of 2

    what a fucking mess.

asshat before me wired it like this,

Pioneer unit, plug with 6 inches of wire, 2 inches of misc wire, 6 inches of stock wire, x ammount of custom wiring, three different kinds, then last 6 inches were stock wire, and then speakers. ALL of these connections were simply electrical taped. and not even alot.

wired mine up like this, kenwood unit, plug with 6 inches of wire, lg speakerwire, speaker.

omfg what a different, surprisingly the asshat before me had 60w rms 200w peak pioneers in before, but they appear to be a walmart only model. im sure all the electrical tape was NOT helping.

After install we couldnt get hot line to be hot, after 2 hours of triple checking shit, realized the fuse and popped. awesome.

Fixed the horn, loose relay.... also washed out headlights and corner markers again. good stuff. oh and this morning, cleaned the door switch on the driver side, it actually works! so now to order some key fobs!

final notes. new wheels and elite bumpers. elites are nice, not worth their price though, even though i got on the group by. for the rear, it was advertised hardware and license plate bracket, neither of which i got. the bracket was bent, but when tightened was pulled straight.

as for the front, between my minor accident, no directions/measurements for cutting, and needing to bend and weld shit, took roughly 9 hours to install the front. the top hoop is cool, but blocks the hipoint lift points.....

    new wheels!

the instructions for install are in the main thread..its a .pdf..clearly shows how too and that your year needed the frame ends cut.

and i get the feeling that you won in the wreck due to the bumper..

Unfortunatly the pdf Id reviewed neglected to mention how much to cut.

As for the accident, this was pre badass bumper. Bent the bracket just enough to suck.

meh, i think the difference between a good thread, and a boring thread is whats being done to the truck.

In erics case, hes doing a lt setup. thats taken almost a year so far. with very little known progress.

in my case i do upkeep, with big plans to come. solid axle swap anyone?

    how about some sexy ladies?

    Nick,
I was drunk yesterday. It was mostly Moose's fault. But to answer your question I am bailing on the 88 because I still want to hump my Tacoma before bed every night and should have gotten a car instead of the 88. If I cant sell the truck and axles as a package deal then we will negotiate a price for the 85's.
