Put something on those MOOG tie rods. Put some on my 88 Pickup, fuckers started rusting. Kinda pissed about that.

 

Mmkay. I have some galv paint, I'll clean and hit with that.

 

New/er steering rack, inner and putter tie rods installed.

 

Man you're making my purchase look good haha. I bought my '97 with 140k on the odometer (at lest that's what the body has, no idea how many miles the engine has) for $4000. Has needed a bunch of stuff already, probably put $500 in it already. Plus it needs either both inner CV boots or axles, as well as the corner lights and some other miscellaneous crap.

iac is still finicky. however it appears to be ecu problem. new ecu ordered.

iac has three prongs, ground open, positive, ground closed. obviously positive is constant, ecu/ecm/pcm says to be open or closed depending on circumstance. well mine says to stay open, and closed. at the same damn time. split entire wiring harness and tested and tested and tested and well, its the ecu.

other issues, trucks in closed loop always. bumped into open loop maybe twice for a twenty mile drive from cold startup.

hooray.

 

also, disliking 33" tires on 3" ifs lift.

if i can ever catch a break, im planning on front end swap to a early taco glass headlight style. satoshi grill, and some sliders.

hoping to get vw bug done soon though (been on backburner for years) so i can drive that. my engine troubles have rewarded me with ~13mpg.

 

fixed idling issue couple months ago.

throttle body butterfly as well as body was actually worn. newer TB fixed that.

new bfg at 31" on stock wheels with no spacers

front eibachs at softest settings

custom leafs in rear, little trophy truck however they are shot so modifying the all pro expos to fix the douche.

front end parts scoped. it looks so ghetto. i have two headlights and one marker. other marker/grill/filler plates are gone.

 

Small fender bender over a year ago. Front Elite with custom mounting held up pretty good. 4 car accident. second vehicle, truck with trailer merged and was unable to stop in time as he cut off white civic, and he rear ended blue civic. He couldnt produce proof of insurance. White civic stopped in time, but i didnt and slid right into it. damage would of been better for him if i had absorbed any of it. but, i didnt. because i was in rear i was tagged for 100% of the entire accident. Thankfully i have insurance that covered everything/everybody.

March update? Because its been a year.

- Got a spare 5vz for the low cost of two monsters. Told was running when pulled but has no injectors or spark plugs so I guess I will be doing some inspecting.
- Picked up a driver door, and side panel to fix trail damage
- Traded computer work for (sliders OR camper cage work OR frame work.
- discovered some harline cracks on pass front inner fender
- Picked up some manual hubs/spindles, gonna order tundra brakes and do at the same time.
- Also, 4th gear in the trans dieded. Hunting down another now.
