Still need to upload some UCA pics, but here's my blacked out wheels. Finally, huh?

The fender flares were popping off due to aggressive off roading with over sized tires so I removed them. I'll have to either get glass or wider flares in the future. I'm not too big on looks so that can wait for some time.

CSJumper (Chris) of Chula Vista hooked me up nicely with some blue internal LED lights. They give a fantastic vibrant blue glow.

9e248507_85ea05ae3237b310ecefb0f1670d7caea27a9d73.jpgJust want to say that the blue interior lighting was something that I saw on Randy's truck first. I loved it so much that when I heard I had a chance to get that look going on inside, I jumped on it.

Back to those Camburg UCAs: like always- we forgot about trying to document the project. It was about 94 degrees out that day so we just wanted to get it done so we could call it a day. I could have sworn I had more shots of my UCAs before installing... I'll upload if I find them.

    First- a bushing shot:
    51ace655_54a5218d6b7b73e240220d72515b321abcec0d99.jpg

Bought and had the uniball and cup replaced on both arms

The install went smoothly except for the washers that the Truck Shop sold me were too big. We ended up mixing 4 Truck Shop washers and 4 stocks washers.

A few weeks after getting the UCAs installed, I was able to meet up with a guy in Murieta who was selling his 2.5" diameter Donahue Racing coil-over shocks. I got them rebuilt to almost brand new and slapped them on for a 100%- 3" lift.

The coil-over shock being installed at Loftis Morsports (usually- we do our own installs, but I had payed so much to get them rebuilt and the alignment would cost- so I had Loftis install them for only $10 more.)

Finally after more than a year of watching everyone rev their engines to listen to exhaust systems and being left out of the show, I decided to get more sound from under MY truck. I ordered the MBRP Installer series cat-back exhaust- mainly due to the fact that I didn't know anyone who had one. Received it on day 1, cut the pipe on day 2 with 4WD's never ending help, and installed it with the endless pit of RecklessTaco's help. She sounds beautiful.

Thanks, Dougie! I'm very happy with the way it's coming along. It wouldn't be where it is without you and RecklessMatt. Thanks so much to both of you.

It feels like I've just been playing catch up with everyone else. It was only in February that I was still completely bone stock- I get a sick feeling in my stomach thinking of it and the amount of time and money that went into it. Really is an addiction... and a bad one if not controlled.

When you get a second, please give a review of how the exhaust sounds in the cab. Specifically, at what speeds do you notice droning?

Sorry, XJBaylor. I haven't checked my build thread in while now! I notice the droning beginning at around 50 and up, but it's become music to my ears along with the hum of the Mickey Thompsons against the asphalt. Hell I even like the squeaks from my leaf springs after a good day of off roading.

After a little more than a year and half of beating up my stock leafs, the Toyota leafs really started to show their wear. The nose of my truck was poking into the air, giving me a bro-like look, so yesterday, RecklessTaco and I installed a pair of almost new Toyota TSB leaf springs that I got from 4WD for free. The ProComp AAL still had some arch to it so we threw that in as well. So I went from two Toyota leafs and the ProComp AAL to three Toyota leafs and a ProComp AAL.

Hard to tell in this photo, but I think it's possible to see here that I was much lower in the rear.
    IMG_3157_91daac55129074f97faf0cc1d0e66007cac934ad.jpg

The leafs were as flat as pancakes. The only reason I had any lift at all was because of the ProComp leaf and it isn't even for my truck's year!!

    IMG_3173_3f56ab1afecd0f626db4b6f42e554e4b3971cd91.jpg

We should have gotten a pic of the leaf packs side by side, what is there to compare from the old pack??

After installed, it's now a little ass up, but that's how I like it. It rides bitchin.

After working the bushings in for a while, they proved to be going bad after a few months of use. A replacement is in need before the Barstow run this weekend.

I went up to Huntington Beach to Camburg Engineering to pick some up. Can you believe that NOBODY- call them- 4WheelParts, ORW, Kartek, etc- carries carry these in stock. Shame-shame. So the visit was what it was. I picked up my bushings and some stickers and hit the road.

Been a while since I've made ANY additions to my truck. The last thing I did was change out my DRs for my old 5100s & OMEs because my DRs blew. Gonna take them to DSMS to get them redone.

My latest addition was done on Saturday. SurfInferno hooked me up with a bumper for a cheap price. Took some extra drilling but after that, my AllPro skidplate and the bottom of the bumper lined up perfect. Props to my boys CSJumper and RecklessTaco for lending me their strength in puttin it on.
