Grey emblems

Are there emblems factory?

Thy are not black, look more like color matched to MGM.

I’m trying to find a “4x4” emblem to match, but can only find black.

Any suggestions.

Not factory so they'll probably chip or peel. Been waiting for a factory 3rd gen option. Getting impatient, I'll probably just pull them off altogether. The chrome stick out like a sore thumb.

 

Buy the black overlays and paint to match?

 

They look identical to my plasti-dipped badges on my MGM truck. It's just black plasti-dip which dries a dullish-matte black. Mine have been dipped for a year and ran through many car washes without any peeling whatsoever.

I already bought a black 4x4 emblem. I’ll try plasti dip. If that’s what my other ones are done with, it’s holding up very well.

 

I too think that looks like matte black plasti-dip. It kind of looks like they didn't put enough coats on and some of the original chrome is coming through.

 

It’s hard to get a good pic, but all three current emblems look great, that’s why I thought they were factory.

Any advice on plasti dipping?

There's lots of in depth youtube videos on plasti-dipping. Just search for plasti dip badge on youtube and you'll be all set.

 

Tried the black plasti dip. Didn’t turn out same color.

 

There’s lots of plastidip colors. Try grey.

Heard someone say for 2018 they offer a black out package with factory black logos and emblems etc. not sure what all is included in that tho

 

They're just cheap overlays. $3 worth of plastic they ask $399 for. You can buy it yourself for $100. But I would worry about it's longevity.

 

I was gonna paint mine but looked better without
