Yep. I will add that it is probably also not a great idea to leave ABS and traction control enabled.

 

I think that is definitely on my list of upgrades. I dont think I saw the part about this allowing use of the rear locker being able to be activated in 2wd and 4wd high range. Can you confirm this mod will do that? If this is the case, take my money.

 

You can make the truck think it is in 4hi while actually being in 2hi. I don't have a locker don't know if it works in 4hi. If it does, then yes you can have locker in 2hi. Same goes for 2lo.

If i remember correctly you can only use the locker in low range.

 

What I'm hoping to eventually see is the ability to lock the diff in 4 hi...

 

If, instead of shorting the lines to ground with a hard jumper wire, you pull them "low" with a 1K ohm resistor, you won't destroy the ECU if you're wrong.

The bigger risk is running w/ the diff locked all the time. That's not a limited slip diff, so you're starting a death song for your diff the moment you lock it. 5K? 50K? Then you'll hear that grinding noise that signals "Maybe that wasn't a good idea."
