Posted a picture earlier today of a grill and skid plate a buddy of mine is custom making for a customer of his. Been getting a lot of interest and PM's about it so I though I would create a thread for everyone that is interested.

If you like what you see and would be interested in purchasing one please leave your name and email in the comments below. I will put together a list and hand it over to my buddy at the shop. He said he would only make more if there was enough interest so I want to show him whats up.

The shop is called RAD Industries in Santa Ana California. They specialize in custom fabrication and race car stuff. They are currently building my current dumb project :rain:

I'm not 100% sure of the price but when I was talking to him about how I wanted one he said it would probably be between $250-$400 as he wants to remain competitive with what else is on the market.

One question, this is direct bolt up skid ? First time owner of a tacoma so unfamiliar.

Grill I understand we just take out the old one and clip this into the holding and reinstall?

From the first picture it looks like it bolts up. There is no fab required if that is what you are asking.

Just my opinion but I would unbolt the two wings off the main cross member and have him build the skid to cover it up completely. Looks funny with them sticking out of the skid on each side.....

excuse my ignorance, but I'm new to 4x4 world.. those bolts on the underside of the skid plate look vulnerable to me. Is that normal to have them there? What are the odds of them snagging on something?
