I just wanted to post this thread because I’m getting a lot of questions about my grille,
so this is for all you curious cats out there.
Its actually a Grillecraft grill. It cost $400 with overnight shipping. It is a very high quality steel, extremely heavy duty, and powder coated grill. So it won't flex, rust or chip and probably will survive if you hit a deer thats how strong it is. I would say its well worth the price.
You better make sure you want it for sure, because you have to take a sawzaw to the stock grill to install it. Its fairly easy to install, Grillecrafts eta. 2 hrs, but I did it in an half an hour. They said to take the front bumper off to get the lower part in. Instead I took 4 aluminum strips attached them to the grill, pulled snuggly, wrapped them around the doghouse(frame around the radiator)tightly, and secured them down. Saved me a lot of time and some worry.
The TRD emblem was fabbed up by me. I replaced the grillecraft emblem with it. All it is, is a plate of stainless steel powder coated black with 2 studs welded on the back side, then bolted to the grille. I got the TRD vinyl off of matrixemblems.com they make the vinyl in any size you need and any color combination, but silver so I had to use white instead.

Wow, pricey....but I love it! I was thinking T O Y O T A along the front of mine. Does taking their logo off leave a mark or blank spot?

I have the same grille, and I love it. I only installed the upper insert. Performance Products [PerformanceProducts4Trucks.com] sells the upper Grillcraft for $142, the lower the $91 for the PreRunner. Bout $20 more for the Tacoma.

Do you have any other photos of your truck? I have seen it in a few posts but never noticed you have a Grillecraft grille. I thought you just blacked out the logo....I would love to see a better shot of the grill.

No, they used the same concept as I did to attach the emblem.

Well I would post better pics, but someone dropped my digital camera and I'm still waiting for them to replace it. So, when I get a new one I will send you some better shots.

Oh...actually I was asking GregT about more photos. But, if you have more of yours...I certainly would love to see them. I was not going to buy a silver truck, but after seeing yours I am considering it. I love the way yours looks. Any issues with the lift? I have read Tacos having CV joints go bad and othe issues after a lift. That is 3" right?

That is what I am talking about....love it! All these photos are making it hard for me to pick a color. All my Toyota have been Black, so that was my first choice, but now Indigo, Speedway, and Silver are creaping in. Thanks Heltah for the photos....painting is the way to go!

Indigo was my first choice, silver my second. I was thinking silver b/c it would be easier to keep clean, but the indigo looks so nice with the chrome on the off road pkg.

I am looking at a sport. So, with the new grill, the headlight mod, and tinting the windows it would look great in black. I am also thinking of having the wheels powdercoated. My friends LR3 looks great with charcoal powdercoated wheels. And I love Brant's. Although, I am thinking about also putting T O Y O T A across the grill in smoked letters.

I also mentioned that I was going to attempt to make the grill off the Incross...well I guess we will see if I get to that!

I have 42,000 miles on her now, got the 3 inch lift when she had 4,000 miles and haven't had any problems yet. But, thank you for giving me something to worry about.
