lol so you think more ground clearance while keeping a lower center of gravity(compared to a body lift) is stupid?

Well thats why I asked.. I have heard of people grinding their calipers but I wanted to get TW's opinion and I got it.. as I stated before I'll be talking to 4wheelparts in the morning to get this resolved. Loking at spidertrax site it seems that i may have been wrong about the 33" limit so Ill give the spacers a shot or I may be able to work something out with 4wp (but i doubt it). Thank you for your advise.. it will not go unheeded..

send them back! 4wheelparts employees are 90% boners in my experience. grinding wheels seems like a horribly unsafe method to remedy the rub.

I bought a set of base model Toyota Steel Wheels on Kijiji with good winter tires for my 08 Taco. They came off a 2000 4Runner that a guy sold. I tried them in his driveway and they seemed good till I got home and torqued them down. They hit the caliper, of course.
I did take the grinder to the caliper a bit, and to the wheels. There is lots of steel there and not really an issue in my eyes. I however, would not do it to new wheels.

    4wheelparts really sucks

i just got some 15 inch flat black ones kinda like that and i grinded on the caliper a little then i ordered 1/4" spacers from wheelers and then i had to do a lotta research and ended up getting i think 2002 toyota matrix rear wheel studs and put them up front because i wasnt getting enough threads in the lugs

    good luck

Never grind a wheel. You will have to get wheels and tires rebalanced.
