I've read so many complaints on this forum and I don't understand any of it. I've owned everything from a '75 Celica to a BMW 745Li. They all drive differently. The Tacoma has actually surprised me by how much power it seems to have, but maybe that's because I had low expectations after reading this forum for so long.

I could maybe concede that the transmission doesn't shift where I want it to, but I could say the same thing about every fucking automatic I've ever owned. I don't like them, but this one isn't particularly disappointing in comparison to the others out there. I got it because I wanted my wife to enjoy it as much as me. Overall, it's a truck and it drives like a truck and that's what I wanted. For those who just wanted to tool around in a bro-truck with no automotive understanding like seemingly most of this forum then I think you've made a mistake.

Not directing this at anyone in particular as most seem to come around and be ok with their purchase, but it seems to shock some people.

Drive it like you stole it and repost once you hit 10,000 miles.

Which is fine but go to the threads that have already been made. There is no need to create a new one.

My 3.5L Tacoma is (of course) slower than my former 5.7L Tundra and IDGAF...that's not why I bought it.

Check out OVT regardless of AT or MT and get the tune. Problem fixed! End of story

Thank you 3rd gen forum. You rarely disappoint.

Now I'm back to the thread with the guy who wants his entire dash pulled under warranty to fix some surface rust on the brake pedal assembly. :angrygirl:

    Be back soon. :D
