I think most Tacoma’s are built that way up in that region.

I use to read on here that a lot of people would go to Oregon, Nevada, and Utah just for a better deal on a truck. Times have changed quite a bit but definitely worth a shot.

You almost surely aren’t going to get a Tacoma below MSRP this year. The demand is too high and the supply is too low. I happened to drive by and see a new ‘21 DCSB sitting on the lot at one of my local (Socal) dealers just like mine that I bought last November a couple weeks ago. A friend of mine has been looking for one for months, so I told him about it and he went and checked it out. The sticker was $7500 higher than my sticker was 9 months ago with the same options (TRD OR, 4x4, non-premium). People are selling their used trucks back to the dealer lately for the same and sometimes even more than what they bought them for a year or 2 ago!

I have nothing to add except to say it's nice to see another member here with a T100! Mine's a '93 I've had since '95. I'm not really sure I'd call it a 'Chick Magnet' however when I was younger I did help a few girls move with it. These days mine spends more time being 'driveway art' and making runs to Home Depot then it does doing much fun stuff but every now and then I'll throw a motorcycle or ATV in the back and take it on a trip.

Good luck in your search for a replacement!

It got the nickname years ago on the job. As it's pretty much the opposite. And was 15 yrs old at the time.
.Actually every gardener in town has been asking if its for sale for the past 15 years. So its more of a gardener magnet in reality.

I just read the 2021 V6 0-60 time is 10 seconds? Is that possible? Should be around 7ish?

I’m almost certain that all Tacomas are 50 state emissions. Check out the southwest states like AZ, UT, NM, and CO.

I was able to purchase a 2021 TRD Or access cab in cement and have it delivered from AZ to NM for cheaper than my local dealership wanted for an identical truck they had on the lot

How can zero to 60 be 10 seconds in a 2021 V6 Tacoma? Is this true?

I would do as others have said and shop around out of state. I did that when I bought my 2020, because Southeast Toyota didn't have what I wanted. It was a 5 hour drive to get it, but I got exactly what I wanted and got to spend some time with it on the trip home. If you can't find one out of state, see if you can find a dealer that will snag a 2022 allocation and agree to, at least, MSRP. I can't blame you for balking at markups.

To answer your other question about the difference in ride between the Sport and SR5, the Sport will be a bit stiffer. I spent a lot of time in my Dad's SR5s and they rode and drove great, but I prefer the firmer feel of the Sport suspension. A little less body roll and a little less nose dive when braking.

All depends on what you're hauling or towing. It's a truck, not a Porsche :burnrubber:

Press ECT then push the pedal to the floor. Get's me around slow pokes on 2 lane roads just fine. :)

Not trying to be a smart azz. Just asking if anything changed on the 2021 v6 trucks. Will drive one today. Last one was a 2017.

‘20 Was a mid-cycle refresh. There are several changes which were made, nothing major if I recall. A friend of mine has an ‘18 TRD Sport and it’s pretty comparable to my ‘20 TRD OR. Powertrain is the same, biggest difference seems to be in the HVAC controls and stereo.

I suggest you drive a couple of different packages as well; the Sport rides a lot different than does the OR.

Yea, lots of BS on the internet it seems? Am reading too much. Need to drive a few.
No idea if this is accurate. But 2021 shows up on a lot of write ups as being slower than prev. years.
    No idea if its accurate.

Pretty sure that 2022 models are not going to be getting delivered when everyone thinks they will be......

I think it's going to be much later than usual because Tacoma production is ending in Texas so they may need a little extra time to full ramp up at the other 2 facilitates, then all the covid shortages have to be dealt with too.

Not just that, but covid shutdowns are coming back. If you need a truck now you better buy what you can find. Supply is about to get a whole lot worse.
