Gun Holster Mount

Have a 3rd gen and looking for an option to mount my holster while driving for more comfort and easier access. To be clear when I leave the vehicle the gun will be holstered on me and if it is left in the truck for any reason it will be locked in a liberty handgun vault. I'm right-handed and drive a manual so something on the side of the center console could work as long as it sits low enough so it doesn't interfere with shifting.

Anyone mount up some molle panels either on the front of the seat so it sits between your legs or on the side of the center console? Does it require drilling? Other solutions?

NeoMag makes an attachment system that fits most standard holster clips so you can swap your holster from different mounts in your car or at your desk straight to your belt. You'd have to drill somewhere in your car most likely, but it's such a small mount it would be almost imperceptible.

Wet Okole has the option to have a holster sewn into the front of the seat cover when ordering. I have it and like it.

 

I realize this thread is a bit old, but here's my setup. Molle panel from Victory 4x4. IWB holster clips on securely and is out of the way. Very happy with this.

 

Check out Holster Gator, they make a 3D printed mount that you can attached anywhere and slide any holster onto.

 

Suggest check your states CCW rules before proceeding. It's been a hot minute and then some since I took [Virginia] CCW class. But I think MAYBE, I recall something about this like;
o Concealed on your person is cool
o Open carry = OK (Also sitting in plain view on passenger seat)
o inaccessible = Ok of course, to include locked in glovebox or case. Consol was a grey area... if lockable and key would have to be taken out of the ignition IOT unlock the consol was thought to be ok (Same as glove-box).

X Concealed and accessible, but not on your person was a no-go (i.e. tucked between seat and centre consol (I assume magnet mount under dash would be the same)

Did you screw it on or use the Velcro option? I’ve been looking at getting one.

 

Sticky holster inside a sticky holster. The larger has two screws with 3/4" plastic washers, mounted to the console. Much like everyone else, just a different holster.

easy to remove while keeping holstered. Also a manual and I have no issues shifting.

 

I used both the velcro loop tape and screwed it into the center console. Double secure.
It will take a week or two to get use it against your leg. Now it doesn't bother me at all.

 

Oof deal breaker for me. I hate shit against my leg while driving.

 

I toyed with several these ideas for months and could not make my mind up. Like a peasant I opted to just put my glock inside a soft holster and stick in the drivers side door bin... wow it sucks being poor

Makes me think of a Facebook tag group called "YOUR VEHICLE IS NOT A HOLSTER"

 

Practice drawing from that side of the console and then try the other side. You may find that it is easier to draw the sidearm from the passenger side
