Guns don’t create terrorists​

Mayor Mike is coming for your guns, but not even this administration — or this Congress — is naive enough to play along. Bloomberg appealed to Congress this week to address what is oddly being called the “terror gap,” but which supporters of Second Amendment rights better describe as “secret government lists.”

"The Bush Administration supported closing the terror gap, the Obama Administration supports it. Republican pollster Frank Luntz did a poll in December and found that 82% of NRA members support it. There is no good explanation of why Congress has failed to close this gap," Bloomberg said.

 

"Gun owners don’t trust the government to keep lists, and they certainly don’t trust the government to keep a secret list of people who can’t buy firearms."

TEA PARTY Aman shut them down. The were here in a protest flying the American Flags upside down. Real disrespect I don't care what they say. They say our country is in distress in that case they should leave!!

 

For what it's worth: I think this is a stupid law that will never and should never be passed.

You cannot deny a U.S. Citizen a Constitutional Right because they are "suspected" of illicit activity.

From what I recall, American citizen are innocent until proven guilty under the Judicial System.

I also think the SF Examiner is having a slow news day...

we don't pay near as much to live in our country as other folks do. If people don't like paying taxes they don't want Good Schools, Good Highways, or any of the other items that cost Billions to keep up. Don't Pay Taxes Be A Welfare Rat.

McCarthyites exploited the buzzword "communism" to intimidate. Today's McCarthy? New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Today's buzzword? "Terrorism." Today's list? The secret terrorist watch list, with a million names or more. No one knows who's on it, but we've heard the names of, among others, the late senator Edward M. Kennedy and Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.). Eight-year-old Boy Scout Mikey Hicks has been singled out for aggressive airport screening. Ridiculous.
