I should've cruised over to Vernal this weekend to check that out. I heard there's some new, good single track out there as well.

Note for next time, the Power stop Z36 pads come in 4 packs. Rock Auto didn't list them so I assumed it was the normal one side per box. I guess I have extras now.

Sabbatical starts next month. Still frantically getting the 2nd gen ready.

I'll need to keep those Vernal trails on the radar.

Best part of living on a straight road that gets quiet after 8: You can drive like a jackass and actually follow the bed-in procedure of five 40-10 hard stops and five 35-5 medium stops.

Most importantly, the rotor warp got fixed. It was seriously bad getting off the freeway going to work. The thing stops with so much more authority now too.

So interesting data point. People here on TW get the Singer or alternative alternator voltage booster since AGM batteries don't like to charge at stock alternator voltages.

The crazy part is I hooked my battery up to a battery tender since its been 2+ years since I bought it. I expected to just disconect it before i left for work tomorrow night. Tender topped it off in like 20 mins!

So apparently X2 batteries (or at least mine) doesnt suffer from this issue I guess?

@geekhouse23 I know you top your battery off every once in a while. Whats your experience?

Since having the 31M, I haven't noticed any issues. I went on vacation for a week and when I got back, the truck fired right up after sitting for a week. Some of my auxiliary items are hooked up to be available to use when the truck is off; small stuff like hood lights, bed lights, nothing crazy.

I remember I went on vacation for a week end of 2019 and the battery was DEAD when I came back. That battery was only maybe 3/3.5 years old too. Granted, I should work on getting everything converted to only power on when the truck is running.

There's a simple mod when upgrading to the 31M that I did linked here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/agm-battery-charging-alternator-voltage-booster.611314/

Charges the battery at 14.5 while running. No issues compared to when I had the stock sized battery (Duralast GOLD IIRC).

I had to keep that stock battery on the trickle charger in the winters when the temps rollercoastered. Interested in seeing the 31M's performance in the winter.

Been doing a lot of 5S stuff at work and took it to heart. Got all my fishing stuff, and all of my hunting stuff, and now they have their own dedicated home.

Housemate's moving out and really got me in a stuff purging/organizing mood of my own.

Also, Bambi's mom from last VA whitetail season became burgers tonight. Venison mixed 50/50 with pork and hit with chorizo seasoning. Served on a jalapeno cheddar bun with some cheddar jack is

Yeah, its just a powder you'd mix in similar to taco seasoning or the like. I'm pretty sure we used Hi Mountain since its intended for bulk game processing, but you could get a small shaker to add to basically anything.

Been having this gnarly metallic hollow creak from the front end of the truck lately. Been soaking every pivot point i could find and no dice at getting it better. As a last ditch effort, i decided to check my skid plate. Middle bolts werent even hand tight. I guess the vibrations finally wiggled the bolts loose.

Hit them with a 17mm socket and much better now on a lap around the block

Yeah, I’ve got like a creak and pop up front. It’s been going on for a while. I need to do a complete bolt check on the front end.
