True. At least get a baseline. Then its a matter of preference. I love me some super tight shoes to help get the extra feel, but some like it looser.

Haha... Cute puppers! Are you planning to take Darco to the Moab trip next year? I may bring my pups along.

I don't see why I wouldn't! He rides well in the car for the most part. Still need to go play in the dirt a little and see if he freaks.

So apparently there is a good bouldering rock right next to the Timp Cave parking lot. @MurphTaco @Kpatt9 got weekend plans? Friday overnighter with bouldering on Saturday? Could also do Sat to Sun.

That's my biggest issue. I have two pups. A small maltese (8 lbs) that loves going out on rough trails :D and a rotty mix (75 lbs) that hyperventilates when the trail gets bouncy/rough... o_O

Thankfully most of my wandering is on gravel base roads. I'm not really a fan of long stretches of techy rocks. Just doesn't really do it for me. I like clearing distance much more than a technical challenge.

Fins and Things, etc is about as adventurous of a level as I get.

I knew we would get along . Rock crawling doesn't "get my rocks off" like several of our local guys. To some around here, if you don't crawl, you're a pussy.

My attitude is that my truck needs to get me where I want to go (camping/biking/surfing, etc.). Taking the rockiest route is the last thing I want to do. I'm in it for the fun and relaxation and not the stress of thrashing my suspension/wheels/tires on the way. The funny thing is the guys who are "crawlers" are the ones always bitching about their truck that is out of commission form their most recent trail run...

Hehe... These are some of the guys I'm talking about. Don't get me wrong, they are great guys. We have a tight group down here. But they are constantly looking to get high centered or break stuff on the rocks. :D

So I went out to Eagle Mtn and gave Draco some proper singletrack mtb training, then took a chance and dropped the leash. He did great!

Yeah, I was pretty pumped. Being a bird dog, hes def a long distance jogger and not a sprinter. Had to keep "the gas" below 50% for sure but Im just stoked I dont have to leave him home.
