    I'd call that a hard no. Never a good idea to tow something that weighs way more than the tow vehicle. If you need to stop suddenly it will take charge.

    And 7000 is 600 more than 6400.

    Will the truck pull it? More than likely.

    Can it do it safely? No.

    Canopy, fitted seat covers, OBA with self leveling air bags, 100w solar, dual Rhino Rack Pioneer platforms, side & rear LED work/FU lights, CB, cell booster. 7x16 cargo conversion, 3" lift, 7'x6.5' fold down aluminum rear deck.
    Proper question is what is the weight of what you will haul and what is the weight of the trailer itself? Personally, I wouldnt get it, but thats because I just dont care for them.

    The 7k gross is the max that the trailer can weigh with a load. If you're going to trailer vehicles, aluminum is the way to go with a Tacoma. Just keep the total weight below (for me well below) the 6400lb weight and have a good brake controller. However, if you plan on towing a lot then, I agree, a heavier tow vehicle would give a higher margin of safety in preventing the trailer pushing the tow vehicle.
