My passenger side doors front and back no longer work with the controller or the unlock button in the truck. my rear driver door occasionally works. When i press unlock they sort of move but just dont unlock or lock. I find myself accidently leaving my truck unlocked quite a bit not good

It sounds to me that the selonoids have given up. you can get universal ones online for about $8 each.

+1, solenoids are probably weak. Its not too hard to change them in most vehicles, haven't tackled one in a tacoma, but I've had the door off and it doesn't seem any different than others.

You might have a bad ground though, would be hard to trace I'd imagine unless you're good with electrical. I'm too busy to break into the diagrams right now.

Did they both go at the same time do you think?

Also check your connections on all the door buttons. Unlikely but they could have come loose or gotten corroded. I know that disconnecting one door will cause others to not work. This would also suggest that some of them are in series.... so you might want to replace one solenoid at a time.

Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
