So I noticed in the last few days that my handbrake light flashes every once in a while as I am driving. I don't think it's ever done that before (maybe I'm barely starting to notice it  ) What would cause this or is it normal?

    Check your brake fluid.
If it's low, your pads are likely worn and in need of replacement.
My Tundra used to give me ample warning of impending pad wearout by giving me the light on cold mornings... would go out after it warmed up.

Do not top off the reservoir until AFTER you have installed new pads.
