Good to know of a different option. One thing that i notice right away is the side windows. It doesn't have cover from the sides of the windows. If it rains, rain will get in the tent.

if you have your window open while its raining with the rain screen down then yes it probably will.

I have the iKamper mini. Love it.
Easy to set up. Maybe 5 minutes if not less. Easy to clean. Room for 2 people and maybe a small kid or dog.

Built in South Korea, and they take huge pride in their quality of work. Awesome customer service as well.

Brother in law has a Tepui, another great tent but it is a soft top, and I’m pretty sure they were bought out. I’ve heard it’s kind of been going downhill since then.

If you shop from REI, and have a membership, then wait for a 20% off coupon. Saved me about $700 on the tent.

Mostly... but ikamper is strictly made in their own factory in S. Korea. I would def love to compare the two side by side, to see if the premium was worth it for the ikamper.

Only problem is I don’t see REI stocking them anymore, unless they just sellout quick. I keep going back and checking after I got mine from them. Might’ve lost too much money from us using the coupons on them. Lol

So its about a $1,000 diffrence well closer to $900. Id say id be willing to probably pay $400 more for the Ikamper but not $900

Anybody have experience with Tuff Stuff tents or products? I have been looking for a 4 person Hardshell RTT and they have the Alpha for about $2k which seems like a great price.

If the DA Warrior XL is better quality and can hold 4, I’d spend the extra $1k though.

I am in the same boat as you. Truck covers USA with Yakima tracks. And I have an ikamper mini on the way.

I currently have two traditional round bars which I think will sag too much. So I am looking at a pair of the HD bars. https://www.yakima.com/product-type/cross-bar

I'm hoping this will be enough, as I don't want to buy another set of towers and landing pads too.

That music made me think something provocative was gonna happen.

Is provocative the right word? Oh well

I dig the hard shells but they are way too expensive for my taste. I just got a 23Zero Breezeway 56. I love that tent. It has light suppression technology, so it feels like a cave in there during the day. No more sunlight waking me up at 530am.

I'm also looking for a smaller Hard shell under 150 lbs. Saw the DA Warrior tent and it looks interesting, but I noticed when it was set up in the 2nd video with the white top(around 1:48), the roof looks pretty horizontal compared to the ikamper mini, which has a much better angle to it.
We get a lot of mixed weather where I live on the east coast, so I think that would play a big part in water resistance?

Also, have any of you experienced any issues with water, since the one video I saw on their website, the DA didn't have any protection above the windows?
    Maybe they changed that?

I wouldn’t discount the roofnest condor as an option. I just got it recently and put it to test on a week long trip through Arizona and Colorado.
