Harrop E Locker...anyone running it?

Update.
Did some snow wheeling at 10,000ft.
Broke fresh tracks, at night.
Lockers were the bomb.
Don’t leave home without them. Lol

Quick question. Had ecgs build my front diff with a harrop for my 4x4 conversion. Got it mounted yesterday and also did my harness. Everything went smooth. No axles in it yet. When I went to test the switch, power on, light on, I hear nothing from the locker to indicate it's locked/unlocked.
I mean dead silence, no clicks, no whispers, nothing. Did I make a mistake somewhere?

 

I am & it is such an absolutely awesome & powerful locker. I’m running it up front & have ZERO regrets. Ultra reliable and smooth.

 

Probably not. Mine is also dead silent, I have videos of it in action. You can hear me hitting the rocker switch in the cab and then you can literally see the locker working on an obstacle. You can also test on a gravel surface while turning

 

I don't have any axles in it, no trans/t-case, no spindles. Just checking the locker.

 

Well throw some axles in it & test it! Mine is very quiet so that’s not abnormal.

 

Good to know. Can't get any axles in it atm. Still have my 2wd spindles on. Its my winter project.

Wiring.

Are able to use the factory wiring harness and dash locker button after swapping lockers? Does anyone make a wiring harness adapter?

He’s probably better at it now, they have a couple more installs under their belt.

 

Having mine installed next month at ECGS.

 

Been running the Harrop for about 6 months now with some pretty good wheeling on it. No issues, nice and simple. It does slightly unlock when banging from drive to reverse, but doesnt seem to hurt anything. Second for second isnt as fast as the Arb, but even those need some tire rotation sometimes to engage.

 

Had my rear installed last weekend. Folks at ECGS are great to work with.

 

what did it cost total if you don’t mind sharing? I’m only a few hrs from Ecgs and thinking of having them do one
