Has anyone else noticed.....

Has anyone noticed that the front corners of their hood bounces a lot when they are driving about 70 mph on the interstate? I do have a hood protector and wonder if this adds to the problem. If anything, I would think it would help the bouncing.

 

mine is 09 dc with scoop,i notice when i hit bumps that the hood is flexing up and down by the windshield washers,havent looked but they should be some bump stops on both front corners of the hood that can be adjusted to tighten the hood up a bit.

Mine seems pretty darn solid.. dunno what to say maybe check the alignment and if there's any adjustment for the locked position?

my hood is about to fly off when im on the highway...thats because its all dented and the under structure is messed up so its not holding the hood all together....

 

Are the rubber stopper things adjustable? Maybe see if you can raise those a little to apply constant pressure?

 

yea i think you just have to twist the rubber stopers till they are tight up on the hood ill try it tomorrow if its not snowing

Not my hood, but my side mirrors. They vibrate or wobble or whatever you want to call it at high speeds or windy conditions.

 

My hood bounces around a lot. Especially when I have a crosswind blowing at 45+ mph and I'm doing 65-70 mph then I meet a semi. Kansas is awesome.

 

my hood moves a lot during highway driving, then again I have a fiberglass hood

 

I have noticed that the rubber stoppers are on the hood itself. I went ahead and loosened them so that they will apply more pressure to the truck. I hope this works.

 

Mine moves a bit on the highway (with the hood guard on)... Doesn't move when I take it off. I haven't tried adjusting the rubber stops, but I will now.

My entire hood seems solid but the sections on either side of the hood scoop flex in the wind a little. I can see the shimmer in the paint moving sometimes.

 

Yup, at 80+ mph my driver's side corner comes up a bit. Then again, it's a truck.

 

Mine is solid. No bouncing at all even in the high winds we had all week
