Has Anyone Gone Through 01-04 Frame Re-build? Its going to cost Toyota $10,000

I spoke with Toyota Corp today, Kevin is my rep and he was very firm saying the Frame Re-build was the only option. There is no buyback or any other options for the 01-04 owners.

Kevin told me it was going to cost Toyota $10,000 per truck to re-build. They are replacing the 01-04 frames because they are still in production. The dealerships purchase the frames in kits according to the vin number.

I asked him what was included and he said I would have to speak with the dealership first. He did tell me a rental would be given to me during the rebuild.

If anyone already went through the rebuild -
What items were covered?
How long did it take?
Did it include the new tailpipe/muffler? I have the orginal with 130k.
Did you have any out of pocket costs?
How does she drive after the rebuild?
What kind of warrenty did you get with the rebuild?
Any questions I should ask?
Overall was it a good experience?
