I don't like the color temperature of them. I'd want them to match the other lights.

Did you get LEDs through oznium?

    TacomaPros kit.
A little pricey, but I got no fab abilities to recreate the provided brackets...

    Nice!

Can you give any more detail on which wire you tapped into and method you used to tap?

Ah, I was turned off by their "No warranties expressed or implied. No returns or exchanges on this product" line on the site. At least oznium will replace a led if it was bad. But the oznium side view bolts do require you to drill a hole to mount it. So if you don't want to drill holes in the grill I can see going the bracket route.

For $4.29 per led though, I'm ok with putting holes in the grill: https://www.oznium.com/side-view-led-bolt

You know me though, I'm quick to call out pricing on these types of things. And especially when the required tools list is exactly the same as a DIY solution.

One thing I would be looking for is an extension to the DRL harness so I didn't have to cut into the factory wires. That I would be willing to pay for.

    TacomaPros was good to me.
My harness had a failed module, they had a brand new harness in my inbox 4 days later. The kit comes with fabricated t brackets, stainless hardware, and a loomed harness ready to go.

Sure, there is only $10 in led modules here, but there's another $10 in associated mounting and cable management hardware. For me though, time is money, not having to build/solder the harness together, grind out some steel brackets etc are worth the extra $25 or so.

Also, not sure where you'd mount ozniums in the pro grill.

Re: install- I just removed the little bulb on the far right of the headlamp, delicately stripped an 1/8' of insulation, wrapped and soldered the +/- wires into that harness. Then taped up the solders and harness. Purple wire is +, white/black -.

I also installed one of these so the grill can be removed easily.

Bump to add a pic of my tacomapros kit finally installed with BAMF recessed grille.

I like it a lot. The LEDs are perfect. Nice warm orange color, fairly bright.

My only gripe is the positioning of them, but that doesn't have anything to do with the kit itself. The middle light is set right between two openings in the grille, which breaks up the output a little. I dunno, I might be the only one that ever notices it.

I think I might eventually mount them in front of the grille instead of behind, but that would require me to snip and recrimp each of the lights, since they are too big to pass through the grille openings. Thoughts on this?

I guess I don't understand why anyone would want to make their taco look like a raptor lol.

Anybody with "Sport" grills have more detailed install pics? Like how you attached and can you see wires?

I don't think anyone is going to mistake my truck for a Raptor lol. It's more an aesthetic thing that I think looks good. Imitation happens all throughout the auto industry. First party and aftermarket.

There's a bolt on the drivers side inner fender, right next to the battery. A couple of other things are already using it as a ground. I just crimped on the ring terminal and added the black cable to that.

I can take a pic a little later if it helps.

thanks, did you have much trouble getting the red wire into the cabin? Did you force it through the rubber

I did have a bit of trouble with that. Mostly because I tried to feed it through the existing loom. But I quickly realized that there wasn't enough space in the grommet. What I ended up doing is poking a hole in the rubber with a screwdriver and feeding it through that way.

I used the add-a-fuse that came with the tacomapros kit.

Sort of annoyed that I am unable to put the fuse cover back on though.

Here's a pic of the grounding bolt I used for the black wire. I have some tidying up to do here still. I'd like to tape and zip tie these.

And the hole I made in firewall grommet for the red cable (this is looking up from under the dash). I figure eventually I'll be having more cables running through here, so I didn't feel too bad about poking a hole just for this one.

I'd like to see close up pics of the install if you don't mind.

Looks like they are mounted vertically instead of horizontally. Is that correct?

Does anyone have pictures of installing the middle bracket for the tacomapro kit? Either they fucking sent me too small of screw or I’m retarded.
