Let's just say that if you left a turkey sandwich on marble rye in your car for 35 hot, summer days an odor bomb will greatly improve the situation.

Update. Got my cup of coffee and my courage, and ventured into the garage this morning. Eyes aren't watering anymore. Surprising that there isn't a pile of dead bugs on the floor, but I'll take that as a good sign.

Opened the car and took a tentative whiff. There's still enough aerosolized methanol to tranq a horse, but at least it's diminishing.

Maybe I'll crack the windows and with hope it'll be drivable by tomorrow.

2nd day update. Truck has had windows open for 24 hours. Weather was nice so I drove to work with the windows down.

    It was...surprisingly pleasant.

No overwhelming methyl alcohols. Dollar store cologne is muted. No dashboard interfaces were melted. It was a nice drive.

The afternoon commute might be something different after the cab has had a chance to roast in the sun. But this morning was nice.

We bought an ozone machine a while back and use it for odor elimination and it works great. Smoke mold and mildew smells gone. FWIW

This one seems to make the most sense. Most of these smells are a form of bacteria. And chlorine kills bacteria. It's like vapor bleaching your interior. Most other products just mask the odor with something more pleasant, but short lived. I did a quick search but cannot find this particular product. Where can I buy it?

This thing is so strong I dont know if its available to the public. My wife gets them for me from the detail department at her dealership.
