Sick sled. Am I seeing that right... you fit a 164" track Mtn sled in a 6ft bed? If so, maybe a way to wad a standard 121 in a 5ft short box. Like to see a side shot of the hangover.

I'll try and get a rear view pic tonight. My work computer somtimes has issues with pictures. The track does hang off a few feet, but that's the lightest part of the sled so it's not a problem. Just don't do like a buddy of mine and bash the back of your sled off a hotel wall backing up.

^Way to wad the sled. Hopefully your right carbide won't be doing any slicing. Like xedge, got snow, but still hunting season for another 2 weeks, the wait is painful.

    Damn, we all on Ski-doos?

Ive got an 08 DC with the 6ft bed and ive been looking into making a sled deck for my truck. I have a trailer but dont always wanna haul it around with me. The sleds an 07 polaris 700 rmk 155" track. I took some measurements and the sled hangs about 3 feet past the tailgate. Any ideas? i was just gona make a false floor. Make the frame out of square tubing and use angle iron for legs. I dont really wanna spend a ton of money on a premade sled deck as i do have a trailer.

GREENBLAZER: If you put the sled in backwards most of the weight would not be on the tailgate,

LID: The track does hang off a few feet, but that's the lightest part of the sled so it's not a problem.

Ok. someone needs to make up their mind.

One says put the sled in backwards which would mean "Track" in first.

The other says "track" hangs off the back which means nose in first.

'Track in first' guy is telling us the weight is in the front of the bed, ie "not on the tailgate". The track and assembly are heavier than the engine and skis.

Track off the back guy is telling us the weight is over the skis (engine) "not on the tailgate" so the weight would be bed front meaning the engine and skis are heavier.,....well?

Even the question to the response is confusing.

Anyone up for a quick game of "WTF"?

How about this... This has been pulled up here in other threads. You could get a couple or three 2x12s (is there a conversion chart for metric or do building materials fall into one unit of measurement?) and place them in the bed and out past the tailgate resting on the shown extender. Have the extender up a few inches above the height of the LOWERED tailgate and rest the weight on the extender. You have weight distributed across the bed and the extender and nothing resting on the "Reynolds Wrap" tailgate.

Xedge: nice lookin sled yourself...oh yeah, the wheels are just steelies, I'm runnin some Blizzaks and so far like them a lot.:D

Our season begins whenever we want to start, accept for in the park areas. But I haven't been out yet as the snow is still pretty bottomless and hasn't completely covered the nasty sled bender stuff yet. For now, getting to the mountains puts a beating on the sled, so I've been patiently waiting.:( I'm hoping to go this coming weekend...

LID: Very nice...ya just gotta love that fluffy white stuff. I'm still a rookie but I did pretty well last year, in the deep stuff, on a 133" Gen II Polaris, this year I'm on a 136" Rev Doo Doo so it should be a whole new game.

Here's a pretty cool vid if you sled heads are interested...not sure about the song but the riding just looks like heaven.

I read this a while back and after yesterday had an emergency load when the tire on my trailer blew up and I didn't have a spare. Yes, bad planning. I have an 8ft 3 piece aluminum ramp and a plywood sleddeck that is wide enough to cover the wheel wells, and used 1x1 to create guides for the Simmons ski's. It fits, kinda. I pee'd a little loading it. My 600 was easier to load than this 800. but yes, it can be done.

Glad it worked out for you..I always consider the back of the truck the emergency trailer..hell I'd fit 2 in there if I had too, but just another great reason to have a long bed!

I just bought a 2010 TRD Long Box and have a small Tundra 300 which is 39.4 inches wide and weighing approx 400lbs.
If the wheel wells are 43-44 sounds like I shouldn't have a problem driven her straight in. Will lay some 3/4 inch plywood down. I plan on snow banks for loading.

Man...I've been studying and looking at lightly used sleds and I must say...

I'll haul mine with my full size Dodge!

I must be the only Artic Cat fan-boi on the site?

M8 Sno Pro is what I looking at....08 or 09.

oriontaco is a sled maniac he's buying one this weekend.

hat we'Re planning to do for him is remove the tailgate and use a flat deck that installs in the hitch receiver, so you don't have to worry about the tailgate
