I am looking at a 1996 tacoma 4x4.....Long story short I haul saltwater for a PT aquarium business and I am trying to find the max weight I can haul in the bed of the truck. I can easily have 750-1500lbs of saltwater at one time.
    Thanks in advance!

Find out how much the truck weighs in with you and whatever you have with you, and a full tank of fuel. Then, subtract that from the GVW printed on teh sticker in the door jamb. That would be your max capacity.

If you can use a trailer, that would be better. I would guess a the capacity is around 1,000lbs - the 2nd gen is about 1,200. If you want to carry 1,500lbs that could be a stretch.
