I haul a 2500 pound water tank in the back of my tacoma every week. I have custom made leaf springs and they bottom out all the time if I hit bumps. We have used my buddy's 2011 Dodge ram 1500 and it sags the truck so bad his mud terrains tore off a fender flare and broke a sway bar end link.
Everyone is surprised the tacoma hauls the weight so well.
