The boots don’t look torn but the grease that’s leaking out is kinda gritty so I’m not really sure what’s going on

Same! My outter tie rod ends have no grease in them but are still in great shape. Click clack all that shit but it still drives good

LCA boots.... yea they tear on our trucks even with normal driving. Sadly, Toyota won’t change just the boot, they will change the entire control arm. Luckily I was under warranty. They charge $1k which is BS.

There are repair shops other than the Toyota dealership. I haven't priced having that work done, but based on past experience expect to pay at least 3X more at a dealer than at an independent shop.

Eventually you’ll need to replace them, but you could technically just clean it up, and keep pumping grease into there, but know that it’ll just leak out again, and you’ll have to keep pumping grease in.

^^^this. Or clean them up and see if they are torn. Put a couple pumps of grease into them and see where the grease is coming from. Check the joint to see if they need to be replaced. Use a jack, jack stand and a bar under the tire and get the joint to move. If there is excessive play then change them out. If there is no play keep an eye on them and change them when there is excessive play. You could still get a lot of life out of them.

This, most dealers ingore build up or slight leakage of LBJ's on our trucks because its very rare that they actually fail, atleast in the normal day to day driving situation.

Exactly. I had to push my dealership to replace mine but they said it really wasn’t a big deal initially

Yup, unless it had a lot of play, just ship it!
