I am getting a Leer Legend put on and currently have the OEM Tri fold on. I know how to remove the cover, but do I also need to remove the rails? I am guessing if I was going to sell the cover the buyer would need the rails. But removing the rails leaves the painted metal for the new truck cap to sit on. Is this the right way to do it? Or do I have to buy another set of rails?

The cap is usually installed on top if the rails. If you remove them the height may not be right.

Well ya ideally I would like to sellit and swap out the rails. So I guess I will put an add on in the buy sell section. But would need to be to someone in SoCal area.
