So I'm building new skid plates for my first gen, and after installing the one under the motor, I noticed a few red drops a couple of days later.they seem to be coming from the passenger side of the engine. These drops are very small, very red, and thick like oil. But no smell to them. The engine had not been run at all since the plate was installed, and I do have to add coolant from time to time, but not very often. Engine runs perfect and oil looks good by the way.

Red, and thick like oil....leeds me to think its somethin else other than coolant. Coolant has a sweet smeel. Very distiguishable.

Possibly. but its on the pass side, power steering pump is on the driv side. I'm hoping it's just a drip from the water neck or pump. but the viscosity has me confused.
