I searched, but perhaps didnt type in the proper words. Is there a thread here with head on shots, so we can see how diferent offsets and wheel width look, and how far they stick out past the fenders? 8, 8.5, 9?

Im curious mainly to see how 8.5 and 9 widths looks. I know what 8 looks like, since I've sported them before on previous tacos.

Thanks, if we can get some pics going, and what size wheel and width. Heck tire as well.

Let me ask this of you knowledgable width and tire guys as well. I was leaning to do some wheels that are 17x8.5 with 265/70/r17...with some coilovers turned down to act as more of a leveling kit. Are these wheels to wide for something like this, will I be rubbing on the cab mounts or anything?

4.75...its the Double Standard from Method race Wheels.

I only plan on running 265's..so Im trying to figure out if it will look odd..like tire is to small, and they stick out to much...or with that backspacing they will look right/good

Those wheels will stick out ~2.5" more than stock.

Here are 18x9 5" backspacing 0mm offset wheels. This is exactly how your 17x8.5 with 4.75" backspacing will look when theyre mounted with 265's. For comparison, i have the stock 245 dunlops on the trd off-road wheels.

The Red Tacoma has 265's on stock TRD Sport Rims, that might help you when comparing.
