Idata said it’s an analog plug so it’s nkt the maestro. Crutchfield is stumped so I’ll recheck connections one last time ....may just have to send back and take to a stereo shop.

I realize that this is an old thread, but I am here regardless looking for answers to steering wheel controls using CRUX on my Kenwood dmx4707s. I’m pretty sharp and doubt that I missed anything electrical and checked it multiple times. My dip switches are per the manual and per what Crutchfield said they should be for my 19 Tacoma non jbl. Crutchfield claims that no one has had issues with this, but I’ve read multiple posts on different models having the exact same issue which is concerning. I’ll see if they can return the crux and give me the maestro and go from there.

So it’s now 2023 and they are still shipping the crux for the Tacoma, and of course it doesn’t work.

Anyone get def info on if the Maestro works with the backup camera now or not?

EDIT: Got it. The instructions say to connect the blue/yellow wire on the SWC 3.5mm side to 1 of 2 pins on the vehicle side. That’s ONLY for head units that don’t use the 3.5mm SWC connector. So you only put that pin in if your HU is one that you have to cut off the 3.5mm plug to splice wires.

I cut that wire and it all works according to the dip switch config now. Hope this helps someone.
