I recently put a set of the OPT7 H11s in to upgrade factory headlights. I wanted to give them some time before I put in a full set and I think it's safe to say I'm convinced that I'll be keeping them.

My question is this - what high-beams and fogs do you guys use with these? I've seen the 5202s for fog but I want to make sure they fit and I have yet to find a solution for highs.

    Recommendations?

I have the diode dynamics xml2 cool white fog light bulbs and they are awesome, great fit and plug and play and they are bright.I also have the opt7 flux beam x led low beams and love them.I haven't changed my high beams yet but opt7 sells a high beam led for our trucks too I forgot what size bulb it is though.

I believe the high beam is a h-9 bulb.

I read a lot of reviews and gave it a shot and even with the projector lights that these new tacos have the cut off is the same as halogen and you wont get flashed from oncoming cars either and the fog lights reach well out to the sides of the road and light up nicely I think.

I honestly don't even know if I will change my high beams because I hardly use them anyway.

That's perfect for what I'm looking for here. I'm along foothills and my house is in the dark (I usually use my 30" bar to light up at night) so having something a bit brighter would be really useful.

You can technically use the same OPT 7 for High/Low/Fog... I did and they work great. That said; the fogs are are a tad too bright (if such a thing) so now mostly only use off-road or on longer drives.

You should not run the LEDs in your factory fogs, they are not projectors like your headlights meaning they will emit glare and blind other drivers and reflect light back at you (the driver) in poor weather conditions defeating the entire purpose of the fog. Read more and see examples pictures demonstrating what I am talking about here:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/why-leds-should-not-be-run-in-halogen-reflectors.454371/

If you want LED fogs, go with the Morimoto from TRS. It is a complete replacement assembly so the lens is designed for LEDs and maintains the cut offs.

It is not that they are too bright, it is glare because you are running them in a halogen reflector (instead of a projector) which should not be done. See my above link.

I would agree with additional glare, but they are not useless. Agree with your post on the headlights/low beams and also in real fog.

That said; for secondary lighting, they work quite well in having a much wider throw than the low beams and are not my primary source of lighting. Works great off road... No different than LED light bars being not well suited for inclement weather/fog.

For LEDs I would go with the Morimoto XBs from TRS. These have a more directed/focused forward beam pattern, vs the wider flood pattern of the factory fogs. The 5500k color is whiter than I would personally like for poor weather condition use, you might consider their yellow Lamin-X foglight film kit. But many like the 5500k to color match their other LED/HIDs. These are by far the most popular fog upgrade and an excellent choice.

I built my own foglight upgrade, which puts out more lumens than the Morimoto but has the same beam pattern and color as stock. Meaning a more distributed wide spread flood beam and not as intensely focused as the Morimotos. I took lux readings from the Morimotos and they were notably brighter than mine in the sweet forward spot but then readings quickly fell off to the sides, whereas mine were more consistent as one would expect with an omnidirectional flood light source. I personally like the OEM color better for poor weather use.
You can see my thread here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-ultimate-foglight-upgrade-not-led-or-hid.435419/
