It seems like my headliner is too small, on both passenger and drivers side it looks like this.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Yeah I don't either. Can't say I've seen anyone else post about it either. Would definitely be taking to the dealership in this case.

I think the issue is with the truck being too wide...! You got the headliner for the narrow cab version.... I think the manual trannys are the ones with a narrow cab.! You need to go to the dealer and request the Automatic tranny version of the headliner, I think.

Mine don't have this issue. I think Toyota Dealer should be able to do something with it. That's is surely not acceptable...

No issues here. Toyota will fix that issue if you bring it to them imo.

You have the rare instance where they built the cab slightly wider. Its a collectors edition savoir it.

My 2017 Limited Tacoma has a sagging passenger side headliner. They pushed it back up and declared it fixed at the dealer. It sagged again even worse a month later. I have it back at the dealer now and was informed yesterday that they are ordering a new headliner for it. You are not alone.

That's unacceptable. Glad they are taking care of you.

You would think the guy at the assembly line would tag it as undersized for correction at the end.
I can understand the cutting equipment getting out of calibration on one or two headliners before getting corrected, but for the installer And the final inspector to miss it too??

Oh how I wish these things when they were made in Japan, it would have had a much better chance of been caught.

Update. Got my truck back from the dealer today. The headliner was replaced appears to be done correctly. The dealer was great if I overlook the fact that my initial visit for this issue was declared a non issue and within specifications. One the corporate end I find it very unacceptable that a replacement headliner took 2 weeks to arrive at the dealer and had to be shipped from Japan. The dealer was informed it was shipped from Japan and they told me they had no way of tracking it until it hit North America. I was informed about a week later it had arrived in Canada but they still only had a tentative day of delivery at the dealer. I dropped it off on the same day the dealer told me the new headliner was in their inventory. They took the entire next day and a couple of hours of the second day to finish the job. I was able to pick it up by 10:00 A.M. on the second day after drop off. Total time for repair from the day I took it in 15 days. They had it for 4.5 days initially and it was wasted down time. Grade for this repair. Dealer B+. Toyota D-.
