Headunit won't power on, help!

    LEER Shell with dome lights operated with 3 way switches, aux backup lights with relay and 3 position switch, modified wiring to compass/temp display and clock to include switch that disables dimming function (poor man's DRL solution), Scan Gauge 2
    Yellow is constant power. Runs the internal amp inside the deck and maintains the memory when the truck is off. Every deck I have installed had yellow for constant with inline fuse and red for switched on power. "accessory" refers to the key position.

    It should be red to red. These harnesses are made to match right up. The color coding is standardized throughout the industry.

    the yellow is the 12v power with an inline fuse

    sorry didnt mean to be confusing, both are 12v.

    yellow is for constant 12v (thats why it has a fuse in it)

    red is for ignition switch turn on 12v (this initiates when the head unit turns on - when your truck key is in accessory position on the ignition etc)

    my apologies.

    still - mate red to red together and whola!

    hope it works for you dude. i love new headunits :D

    Ok so it sounds like he should have it now then. I had it backwards, thought maybe the power was hooked up but not the "memory" wire, (my memory is going to sh*t :eek:). It has been a while though. Anyway sounds like this should be it. :pray:
