Whether I have my heat or a/c on my fan will stop blowing the air at a high rate randomly and blow at a low setting. It will come back on after a little while but it is intermittent unless I put in on High. It works no matter what on high. It does it on the highway to so the RPMs dont seem to matter. Do any of y’all know what this might be ?

Need a new blower resistor and connector. Replace them both at the same time. Located under left side of dash. Grey plug.

    Resistor and connector needed:

Look at both connectors on the motor. I'd be willing to bet one or both of them are burned.

If they have burn marks you need to replace the connector plugs.

    Part number 90980-10916 Connector

Part Number 82998-12380 Wire and terminal

Not sold as a kit, sold as each. So you will need one of the plugs and two of the terminal and wires.

Wrangler's are also known to do this. We would rewire it using relays so the switch's didn't have so much current running through it. let the switch control the relay and let the high current run through it instead of the fan speed switch . Seemed like if ya just replaced the OE stuff with more OE stuff You would be doing it again. Some one said once it got that hot it also effected the wires that don't get replaced and it never seemed to be the same again hence the relays. Maybe had some effect on the resistance or something, I don't know wasnt my idea but it worked .
