Heat wrap?

    What do you think about heat wrap for a cai? I have a k@n cai and I know it hurts the 2.7L in the power department, but some people has said thats because it draws more heat then the stock. I also have a header and noticed that the intake gets very hot because there is no heat shield on the new header. I was looking at this heat wrap and they claim that it blocks 98% of radient heat up to like 500f.
    [​IMG] just wondering if anyone has any exp. with the wraps or is it a waste of $$$?

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    It draws the heat from the engine compartment. The best thing for your truck is to get the OEM intake, and do the deck plate mod to it. :)

    Yea I know. But do you think this would help out any. Or is it a waste?

    ^Cosign. If you are pulling hot air in from the engine compartment putting heat wrap around the tube isn't going to cool it off...It's still hot air.
