Tried to take the truck wheeling this last weekend, but there was too much snow to make it very far.

I'm a little concerned about those welds. Is that homebuilt?

Leaf springs are sitting in my living room-- just too busy at work to have time to work on the truck.

a square "homebuilt" front driveshaft will survive longer and drag over more rocks without anything more then a scratch then almost any professionally built driveshaft. unless they are using tube that has like 3/8" wall.

Truck looks good. i just made myself a square front driveshaft. probably going to be making another for a friend who's tacoma i've been helping sas. They are the way to go, super strong and cheap as dirt

Ya, the square driveline is super tough. I'm happy with it. I don't have much of a choice for now anyway... The angle between my diff and tcase is too steep.

I just found and sub'd to your thread for your 84 pickup. Sorry to hear about your 01. That 84 will be bad ass though!

Yeah, but it doesn't matter for daily driving when the hubs are unlocked.

actually doesn't affect balance horribly. Buddie with an 85 xtra cab can get up to about 40 before you notice the vibes. I have yet to go over 10 with mine yet so i don't know. And yeah doesnt do a thing as long as the hubs are unlocked

Thanks! Ya, it can't be balanced. It gets really loud and vibrates over 10 mph. But, I have a balanced regular driveline for road driving that I can switch to if needed (it just won't flex enough for offloading.)
