so I installed hella 500's the other day and they didnt put out like i expected. some guys on the jeep forums said they ran 100w bulbs rather than the stock 55w no problem. so i picked up a set today and installed them. they worked for a while then failed. I cant pinpoint exactly what is wrong but i know for sure the relay and lights are in working order from doing some trial and error. i checked all my grounds and it doesnt seem to have any melted wires along the way.

I dont have much knowledge in electrical stuff and im planning on re-wiring the whole thing so im wondering if someone can suggest a relay to use and what guage of wire. and any other suggestions.

From what i was told if you run the 100w bulb the wiring harness doesnt take it that well, that you would need to upgrade the wiring. Thats just what i was told.
