I just get all the parts together, I will start to do it this weekend, when I done, I upload the photos.
I do something different on the switch, I order a Pilot remote light switch, so I do not have to pull wire through the firewall.

HID Light question. I ordered the 55W bulbs from DDM, but the ones i got say 35 W on the box. DDM's website says it's all about the Ballasts, which are marked 55w, and these bulbs are fine. My question for you guys is will these work?

My bulbs only "fit" at a 45 degree angle to be able to use the tabs on the housing. I was thinking of using a dremel to make them fit. Any suggestions? I have the H3 kit from DDM, but they look different then Klipps. If I don't put them in at a 45 degree angle which side should I put them, blue post up or down? Hopefully it doesn't matter, that way I'll just put them in how they fit best.

^^ you shouldn't need to use a dremel to make the bulb fit into the light housing. just line up the round and flat grooves on the base of the bulb with the corresponding tabs on the hella light housing. if it doesn't fit, it's not an h3 bulb.

Thanks Klipp, I realized I was looking at it all wrong. It fits just fine, let the modification begin!

it's just the cover you have to remove. the latch itself remains.

Hey I'm new to this, and I have a question about mounting the ballasts. You said to use velcro, but where exactly do these mount? Is it in the dash where all the wiring is? Do you think you could take a picture of that so I can see where you placed them?

Since the wire is short, so you can only find a place under the hook that you think the structure can support it, that's all! Don't have to worry too much.

I currently have a pair of PIAA fogs on my bull bar. I want to ditch the bull bar but don't want a light bar so I just bought the supplies to do the same mount as the OP. My question is, if I mount fogs up behind the grill are they too high up to serve their purpose as fog lights?

random question to your Conversion.... If a bulb goes bad, how much work to pry out all the silicone you think would be required to change just the bulb?

i've had mine in for over a year and haven't had a single problem with them. i don't think it would be a problem cracking the seal if / when you had to.

Any pointers on passing the wires through the firewall? I see what you're talking about but haven't a clue how to send them through there. Also I've got a clutch that is really in my way!
