Nice write up! What is the best way to gain access to the top row of swicthes. I plan to use the same switch location as you but i am having trouble gaing access. The bottom row is easy to get to. Where did you ground the switch at?

thanks. just took out the change tray and reached up from there to feed the wires through. can't remember where i ground the switch, just look around for an existing ground from factory and connect it there. the electrons don't care where it is, as long as they can flow to ground it completes the circuit.

Thanks for the awesome write up. It took me a long time and alot of patience but I am finally done... I ended up using an ARB "like" switch so the wiring was a little bit more of a headache; but I definitely like ther ocker switch.

I bought the switch from https://otrattw.com/index.php. It is a "SPST" V-series sealed rocker switch body with an amber driving light rocker. Very good quality switch. The only two wires you would have to add to make it light up are from the dimmer circuit. Tap into the green and green w/white wires behind the climate controls. These are the same wires that are used for the illuminated 4x4 switch.

Since these lights are behind the grill, have you noticed any problems getting the lenses clean?

I'd think that mud from off-roading or even 'normal' road grime would accumulate on the lense.

not really. i've always used a pressure washer to clean them, and they come out just as clean as the heads. even if you want to wipe them clean, you just pop off the grill surround and they're completely accessible.

    Thanks for the awesome write-up!
I copied this as well, but I think the aluminum I used to mount the lights must be thinner than yours,,,the lights bounce like crazy on there! I am going to have to start over using thicker aluminum I guess...
How thick was your aluminum? Do yours bounce?

Did you use "L" metal or flat? I think he used 1/8" (I think I remember reading that)

yeah...I used the aluminum "angle iron", or "L" shape. I have a piece left over, so I was going to try just stacking 2 pieces together. All the holes are already measured and drilled in the first piece, so it should be quick to just add the second piece, drill it out, and bolt it all back together. Hopefully that remedies the bouncing. I will try that before going to buy the thicker aluminum.
After all that, I know I will want to convert my lights to HID, but I am just anxious to get them on there...I will convert them later. I'll try and post a pic when I'm done.

Used 1/8" aluminum and I had a lot of bounce before running a bolt with spacer between the light bar and the center lower hood latch mount. Now its rock solid.
    Hope that helps...

^ good point. there are 3 bolts attaching the mount to the truck, not just 2.
