This inspired me to redo mine...I have a grillcraft (non-satoshi) but I didn't like them being mounted on the actual grille, as they would bounce sometimes and it drove me nuts. With this method, they are much more secure. Great idea....thanks for the write-up!

Klipp. Thanks for the idea on the bracket. I just built one today when I installed my grillcraft (no satoshi) and it turned out great. I have a set of 500 black magics that Im putting behind it and they really look clean. I'm still trying to figure out how to do the hid on the black magics, but great write up and props to you

thanks for this write up.. I used it as inspiration and instructions for mine, except I used Hello 700ff's. Fit GREAT! almost the same size as the height of the grillecraft, so its really the biggest light you can fit in there and still have it look good. I also converted mine to HID (6000k, same as my headlights and fog lights), But I am having trouble wiring them and my lights on my avid light bar. I bought two of the retartedly expensive OEM fog light switches (which come with no instructions, wire diagram, or even markings to indicate what should go where) and I apparently wired them wrong because they dont illuminate, and they dont turn on my lights. So tomorrow I will rip my lower dash off again, cut all my wires, and start from scratch using the "trial and error" method. Hopefully tomorrow night I will feel accompished and satisfied... hopefully...

I recommend using a voltmeter to help out with your trial and error, although I'm sure somewhere on this forum is a wiring diagram of the OEM fog switch. Also, make sure you test out the switch while your dash is still apart! G/L

Great idea for the light mount. I'm going to redo mine because I have them mounted to the grill and they bounce like crazy.
