Nice write up! I will be doing this mod soon too. My horns may have come in contact with too much water and now sound like dying ducks when I honk....

Thanks, I found my project for the day. Off to get some wire/connectors from the basement. Time to break out and dust off those Supertones I took off my friend's STi he sold... gonna be good.

Update the next day. Finished the install... just trying to decide if I should spread them out across the grille, or if keeping them together like the stock horns looks good too. I'm kinda leaning towards the way I have it, but may re-position and decide.

I used the stock horn mounting brackets, just drilled them out with a step drill to accomodate the larger bolt hole from the Hella horn. I used a 20A Fast blow inline fuse (couldn't find any 16A around at the local stores, and I had the 20a lying around...) spray-on electrical taped all the wires and goobed the connections with dielectric grease... should be good to go for years.

    Tools:
6in1 Screw Driver, Linesman Pliers/Crimpers, Portable Drill/1/4"-3/4" Step-up drill bit, Adjustable Wrench, Spray-on electrical tape.

    Parts used:

    Hella Horns
    Hella relay
~8 ft (maybe less) of 12 gauge stranded copper wire
a 10 pack of female spade 12 gauge wire connectors
1 "12 gauge "Vampire" clamp for grounding cable
1 12 gauge bolt connector for grounding cable
2 12 gauge "butt" connectors for the fuse connection
    stock, drilled out horn mounts
1 20A fast blow inline fuse crimped in.

All wired up, loud as hell.:D

There are ones made in Germany by Hella. Those are the expensive, higher quality ones. They are harder to find.

The ones you found posted on Ebay will probably work just fine... They just don't look like the come with the Hella Relay and are made in China/India (Prob knock-off Hellas.)

For $25 bucks, it's up to you.

Yeah I figured they were knockoffs. Just wondering if anyone has given them a try. Looks like it is a direct wire right to the horns with no relay. My Hellla triple tones shit the bed so I need something, might give these a shot. BTW, what part of NH are you from? I grew up in the Milford area.
