So I wired up my hella 500s that i got in the group buy today. Once i had everything wired up and ready to test I did it and all I got was a sort of tic tic tic noise. My friend said it looks like it is grounding out inside the lights, anyone have any ideas? The guys I ********** said to take apart the housing and try to tape off the connections in it. Any one know what to do?

Are you talking about the regular halogen bulbs or HID retrofitted ones?

A few different components to HIDs.

Make sure it's grounded well. That could be your easy fix.

    or

Make sure there's power going to/coming from the ballast. This will help you a lot to find out where the problem might be. Use a multimeter to test for power.
