My 2018 TRD Sport v6 has been at the dealership since December 6, 2023. They're not sure what exactly the issue is. First it was the fuel pump, then ECM.. they say it's electrical, yet not sure where the issue is. The truck has issue accelerating, shuts down at will and EVERY light on the Dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree. Just wondering if my issue is unique, and if not ,what are my options?. I've opened a case with North America Toyota. Only have 82k miles. I'm malicious with the maintenance. So I'm just looking for some direction. This is the 3rd time in the shop since Nov 2023 for the same issue

 

I can’t say I remember reading anything like that. Maybe someone else will chime in. Good luck, hopefully it’ll get fixed.

 

Did they replace the ECM and fuel pump? Also any codes being thrown that you can share? Off the top of my head, I am wondering if you might have some rodent damage to your wiring harness?

Time for lemon law case since it’s the 3rd time with the same problem.

The fuel pump and ECM were replaced. No codes to share. Some reference about a computer point in the driver side door.

 

Admittedly knowing very little about what they’ve done, it sounds like they may just be swapping parts and not actually diagnosing, which if under warranty, Toyota will eventually get tired of, since it’s on their dime.
