    hi guys,
I have been thinking about getting a tacoma!
I dont doubts about getting new because, i think they will have flex-fuel version, Hybrid version would suck because of the maintenance you would have to put in.

I'm looking to get the off-rd package with 4x4. What an awesome truck!
I dont want the sport package because I dont want the 17inch tires and doesn't have the bigger alternor if i want to tow something.

I have been using carsdirect.com and autotrader, and even ebay.
    I also looked up kbb.com

I want to spend like $26000 on, Im sure some dealers would do it because car sales are slow and tacomas are everywhere!

    what do you think guys???

    Buy one now....
Sports package doesn't have a bigger alternator? I dont know about that. I'm sure mine does and can tow 6500 pounds.
And I think $26K can buy a lot of truck in the US. Go for it, dont delay rewarding yourself. Enjoy while you can. ;)
    And welcome to TW.

I just bought my Tacoma yesterday. I got mine from Lawrenceville Toyota. Toyota dealers are not very negotioble on the Tacoma. Mine stickered at 30,179, and I got it for 28,238. I got the Access cab TRD Offroad with trailering package. I looked around at 4 dealers and they had the best price. Two other dealers told me to beat it when I asked if they could do $29k. Basically their claim is Toyota is the #1 selling brand of car right now, and they know it. If you want a Regular Cab, I'm sure you could get it for $26, but for an access or double you're out of your mind here in NJ. Check out Edmunds.com to see the market value for here in NJ. Good Luck with your search.

That is frustrating that dealers take such advantage of the market... but they have that job to make a living ... not to make everyone happy. (at least most salesman)

Linkfeeney, hopefully you live in a different part of NJ and can find a dealer that will be more willing to make a deal!

    ok guys
I won't let those jerk off dealers to tell me what to do and how much i have to pay!!!! If they dont like it, I'll go somewhere else! there are tons and tons of toyota dealerships everywhere!! They have to sell their tacomas sometimes, they have to give up to the price!! Sometimes i go to toyota dealers on a sunday to look around to see what they have in their lots! so the salemen wont bother me! If i have to go to another state to get a kickass price! then I have to! I'm sure I can get it maybe at least for like $27000! Even if i have to go to FL, then so be it, gives me an excuse to go vaca again!

I'm have been thinking about the radiant red color! With auto trans, towing package, with rear locking differentials!

but then again, if the nissan nismo package gives me a kick ass price, i might have to go with it! (jk guys)

Absolutely CAN be done in New Jersey.

I just bought mine for $26,200.

V6 access cab, 6 speed manual, TRD off road, 6 disc cd changer, carpeted floor mats and first aid kit

Toyota of Vineland, ask for Steve Barber, tell him Adam (with the Speedway Blue manual) sent you, trust me he'll remember me, and that will tip him off for the kind of deal you are looking for.

Don't let the dealers BS you, they get paid by Toyota to move the unit. Toyota does not care what profit margin the dealership makes. The obsticle that you are hitting is the sales person who does not get his/her percentage if the vehicle is too far below MSRP. They just get a straight $100.00 as a deal writer when they sell at invoice. Some sales people realize that if they can write the deal in an hour or less without screwing around then that is still pretty good money, they get the hundred bucks, get you out the door and are free again to get the next soccer mom to buy the Sienna at MSRP.

wow...i must be lucky...i bought my 07 4dr trd sport in november for 24,800 i think...i know it was high 24's. i didnt even have to haggle. the dealer even kept telling me about other rebates that i qualified for. including the extended warranty, TLC package, mud mats, and tow package, the total was 26k.
