Finally got into the ride I actually wanted...trust me, it took years of compromise to get the 4wd tacoma.

Back in late '06 I decided to trade my crappy Nissan Frontier for a Tacoma. The only problem was negative equity...so I could only finance so much. Ended up with a 2007 Tacoma regular cab 2wd....absolute base model. It was a great truck even without the frills. I should explain that my location in NY gets a fair amount of winter weather....and that I live on a hill. So the last 5 years have been all about compromise and learning to get the most out of a 2wd truck. For the most part I was impressed with the little 2wd Tacoma's abilities, but had moments of frustration when the snow really piled up. Well, those days are over.

Picked up a 2011 Reg Cab 4X4 this past Saturday...and I love it! Oh yeah, had positive equity in the '07....so my payment is even less than before. Deferred gratification really does exist!

On another note, if anyone is interested in a cool subwoofer idea for the limited space of a regular cab, hit me up.

Feldman, I'm located in Almond....which is one town over from Alfred. I see you're in Batavia...not too far away.
