It's been 10 years since I bought a new truck, and I decided this time on a brand new 2017 Tacoma TRD Off-Road 4x4 double-cab in super white w/the JBL package. Got a decent deal on it, but still remains a shocker since it was damn near $38k. Ten years ago, I bought a Nissan Frontier 4x4 SE king cab, and I thought it was expensive at $26k! A decade later, and I guess trucks are $12k more regardless of who you buy from. I am a little embarrassed to say that I paid $38k for a mid-sized truck, but what 'chu gonna do? Such is life. If all goes well, I plan on keeping the new Taco for 10+ years.

So far, I'm liking it. I have some minor quibbles about it, but I am borderline OCD, so...

What brought me to the forum? Well, after buying my Nissan, I joined ClubFrontier. Now, after buying the Taco, I joined TacomaWorld! Seems appropriate! This forum also boasts the most activity and the most members so I plan on learning a lot and helping others as well. I know my way around the garage, and I do many mechanical repairs myself. My Frontier was a royal PITA, and I hope the Tacoma is NOT! From what I've heard and read about the Taco, I am hoping that is indeed the case.

Speaking of OCD...what else brought me here? To confirm this: Today I noticed the bed of the truck is slightly misaligned. So we're off to a good start! :)
