    Hahaha.......

No, I don’t come here to argue or get people upset with anything I post. I come here for info and to have fun.

But if a man wants to toss around his truck it’s not your position to judge or even comment about for it that matter.

Wow, Hellwig must have a HUGE liability policy to cover themselves for manufacturing such a dangerous product for the Tacoma pickup truck.

I've been thinking about a stiffer front sway since I bought my OR. Both the Sport and the TRD Pro have a 30mm sway bar while the OR has a 28. Torsional stiffness for a cylinder is proportional to D^4. The Sport and Pro sway bars would thus be about 30% stiffer. Since this is an OEM configuration, it seems the risk of adverse effects is pretty low, but there might be marginal increase to understeer.

I'm curious about adding something in the rear, at the same time. This could balance the increase in understeer from a thicker front bar back towards neutral if done right.

Tundras had a TRD rear sway bar option, and the 2nd gen x-runner was mentioned in this thread. Probably there is a bit of tuning we can do safely there.

What would be great is if someone figures out a functional sway bar disconnect for when they do go off the pavement. Best of both worlds.

the larger front bar will noticeably increase understeer and it's not subtle. but that's not really a performance problem unless you're on stiff tires and/or a stiff reinforced front end where you lose tire compliance. on my truck with the big bar up front, fully reinforced everything, and super firm 31" tires, the understeer is unreal, but that was my plan, to firm the front end for good on/off grip control that will affect the rear. so my truck is understeer/oversteer happy and that's how i drive and like it. if i didn't have the rear bar and other stuff in the back then my truck would be somewhat undrivable on tarmac.

by the way there are also adjustable end links available for the front bars to dial it in, and that helped me a lot.

I’m running Hellwig front/rear swaybars. I love them. They make the truck handle much nicer. They take out much of the body roll, which I like.

I just ordered Hellwig rear anti sway bar for my 2020. I do 99% street driving so I believe this will help the overall experience of my Tacoma.
I used to work at 4-wheel parts and have been a full-on off-roader. But not so much now.
If I ever do feel the need I can just undo one end link and the articulation will be free.

Autoanything was backed ordered but I finally got my rear anti-sway bar delivered and installed.
I got some driving time on it and I like it and would recommend it to people who do a lot of street driving.

Most people with experience would agree that there's a big difference going from hole 2 to hole 1, especially considering the point about stiffness ;-)

I installed my rear sway bar a couple of weeks ago and am very happy with the way it minimized the body roll. I actually started with the center hole then changed it to the stiffest setting without any ill effects. This is highly recommend for a truck like mine that spends 99% of its life on the street.

I just ordered the Hellwig 7744 rear sway bar kit, and after shopping around I found that NAPA had the cheapest price of $332 shipped, but it won't ship until the end of next month. In the meantime, I am going to be installing a 2" F / 3.5" R lowering kit from SOS Performance, and in order to make the sway bar work with the SOS kit, I have to cut off some of the threads on the end links to shorten them up a little.
